The JetSetTrader (JST) Mission
I have explored many different paths in my life. Each path has taught me many different experiences and has exposed me to dealing with diverse people. My passion and goal in life growing up was to be a professional soccer player. I never imaged myself doing anything else nor did I want to. I always pictured myself making a lot of money playing soccer and investing in different businesses while traveling the world. Unfortunately, it didn’t really work out that way. I did make a Super Lig team in Turkey and played for one of the best college soccer programs in the US.
I have always possessed the entrepreneurial drive to be creative and seek opportunities. As disappointing as it was, I realized that soccer was not going to be my vehicle to financial freedom and I had to shift my focus. I decided to commit myself to higher education by getting a degree in International Business, MBA in Finance, and a Masters in Sports Business Management at Georgetown University in Washington, DC. It was during one of my finance classes at the end of my undergraduate degree where I was exposed to stock market investing, interest arbitrage, and forex investing. I immersed myself in books, seminars, and research about the different ways of making money through investing in different financial instruments. I was determined to be a trader and enrolled in a MBA for a solid foundation. Looking back, I wish I would of invested the money I spent on my MBA ($100,000) in someone actually mentoring me to really trade. Furthermore, I would have had a good amount of trading capital to start off as well.
Since my early days from my undergraduate degree I have ventured into many different businesses. At the time, my strategy was to represent American firms to the Turkish market and help Turkish companies sell their products in the US. It seemed like a great idea, but I faced many challenges. I have owned a family café, websites, exported products, and invested in both residential and commercial real estate. Yet, I always was dabbling with day trading. I have traded stocks, options, forex, and now solely trading the S&P e-mini.
Day trading has a unique mystic and allure. Combined with my mission to live a life of luxury and traveling the world brought about the JetSetTrader project. The mission for JetSetTrader (JST) is to travel to 12-15 new cities all over the world per year. I will trade by day or night depending where I am in the world and explore various cities and cultures. What good is life if you don’t enjoy what your doing and reaping the benefits of your efforts. As I keep repeating, day trading is the best business in the world because you can be anywhere with a good Internet connection and computer and make money to finance your lifestyle. However, there are disclaimers. Trading is probably the most challenging money making craft, that requires a lot patience and the right frame of mind. What other opportunity gives you this freedom to make unlimited amount of money from anywhere in the world? Yeah, didn’t think so………
There many places to see and majority of these cities don’t require large amount of money to have a luxurious stay. With $2,000 to $5,000 a month of trading profits it is possible to travel to many extraordinary places. With $10,000 + in trading profits can add a significant amount of luxury to your travels. Day trading affords you this opportunity and many others.
My outcome for JetSetTrader is to inspire other traders and individuals to share their stories, ideas, thoughts, and ramblings. If every reader will have the patience to walk away with just one new idea from this blog I have succeeded. You are entitled to more than one idea if you like J.
Trade your way to Freedom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are you still trading and traveling?
Yes, I am. Unfortunately, I haven’t had much time to write blogs since I have been traveling a lot. I was in Paris, Istanbul, and Miami. I do have topics that I plan to write about now that things have settled down. Thanks for calling me out….
Hey, great site ! I am really impressed, very good idea to stimulate the trading spirit.
Yes, I have been traveling and scuba diving around the world for years and sometimes sailing to different islands. Like you said living the dream.Trade only the E-Mini S&P500.
Congratulations on a great unique site !
Cheers !
Thank for you comments. Sounds like your living an adventurous life….How long have you been trading the E-mini.
Trading the ES since about 1998 after I stopped following the 30 yr T-Bonds Futures
and after getting tired of the Real Estate Industry bullshit ! Didn’t missed much since that industry got worst. But made some fairly good investments and still hold some.
My second passion after trading is scuba diving and will do so til a shark eats me up ! lol, only kidding.
Somewhat similar path. Started back in 2000 on the ES and then started a couple small businesses and go into real estate. Got hammered….Trading is the best business, just takes time to gain consistency. Best business in the world if one has the patient and can do it….
Article was very informative. Not to many people in your position are so gracious. Your article was very poignant and understandable. It helped me to understand very clearly. Thank you for your help.
